Have you ever wanted something and heard someone comment, “Everything has its price?” If you should analyze the statement you would probably agree. Attaining that something however, may require you to extend yourself beyond certain measures.
What something is worth to you is only measurable by the price that you are prepared to pay for it. You may decide that the cost is fair but you cannot afford to pay the price at that moment, therefore you settle for something of lesser value or forgo having it altogether.
Lasting Happiness cannot be bought or sold. However it has its own price.
Uncovering lasting Happiness may require you to prepare to make a few adjustments in your life. These adjustments come with you having to accept changes. These changes may be physical or emotional or sometimes they may be both. The more resistant you are to making adjustments in your life the longer it will take to uncover lasting Happiness.
You are entitled to be happy:
Have you also heard someone say that Happiness comes to you by making others happy? It is difficult to make someone happy. One must desire Happiness in order to be happy. But we must realize that there are those who refuse to be happy no matter how much you may do for them. Some people may suffer grief and despair making them unable to appreciate the gift of life. Life’s journey for each is different yet very much the same. Life is a gift, so is death. Each death brings forth new life in you. You uncover new strengths within you. You are to be celebrated. Life is a celebration–hence Life and death are both gifts.
By you being grateful for the gift of life is the beginning of uncovering your Happiness. The quality of your life is what you make of it. You are the only one who can make yourself happy through gratitude. By recognizing and being responsive always to acts of kindness will bring you lasting happiness. Be grateful for something as simple as someone extending a greeting to you, remember that you could have gone unrecognized.
By being grateful for all you have at all times and for what others do for you, will allow you to uncover lasting happiness. What others do for you is to be appreciated. These are your gifts of Happiness. By remembering that no one person can satisfy all your need and being true to yourself you will become conditioned on the value of being true to others.
Being grateful for each day that you are alive and for each person who has made a difference in your life whether you may consider it to be good or bad allows you to attain lasting Happiness. If you should take a moment to think about all that has been done for you or to you from the beginning of your life and how far you have come, you will find that the good things outweigh those things that were not so good, you have navigated your way through. Valuable lessons have been learned. Through all the trails you have made it to this point. Celebrate yourself; put a smile to your face. Look to each new day with hope. Be grateful to God and to others it is one of the keys to uncovering your Greatness and the Gift of Happiness.
