MEXICO: Man Assaulted and Robbed by Transgender Prostitutes

TRANSLATION: A man walked out of his attorney's office with some cash he won in a class action lawsuit when, according to him, he was approached by a couple of transgender prostitutes who offered him to 'take him to their apartment for a good time' and asked him to buy them sodas. When he appeared reluctant he was then assaulted by them and was robbed of his money (around $350 US). The incident was captured by a news crew and were able to track one of the assailants later on.

JOSE SOTO: I am somewhat familiar with this area of Monterrey Nuevo Leon, and to be honest the man seems to know what he was getting himself into since this area appears to be way out of his way and is a popular hang out for transgenders and gay prostitutes. My theory is that the man wanted a cheap thrill with these transgenders after of course winning some money which eventually went awry, although he claims that he was going to use the money buy his grandkids' school uniforms, it appears to me that the store was again out of the way where he was mugged. Transgenders in Mexico sometimes struggle socio-economically and many of them turn to prostitution where they face the many abuses of their johns which is why many trans prostitutes tend to be aggressive and mistrusting of any potential client. In the end I hope grandpa learned his lesson because more than likely he was probably the instigator.
